Selva Vins is the personal project of veteran Mallorcan winemaker Carlos Rodriguez Furthmann.  His small winery is located in the Sierra Norte region of Mallorca.  His artisan wines are created using minimum manipulation and he also prioritises the use of indigenous grape varieties. 

Premsal is a native Majorcan grape variety and the grapes come from a single vineyard in Felanitx.  The vineyards are about 12 years old.  The winemaking process involves spontaneous fermentation, with part of it kept on its fine lees for two months.  A small percentage of the wine is fermented in a Mallorcan clay amphora.  Nothing is added to the wine apart from a small number of sulphites.  This wine is not clarified or filtered.
