Phelan Farm "Nithya" Massa Vineyard 2021

The Massa vineyard is a certified organic farm and a very unique place. There is
an Alpine feel to it, and yet, you are firmly in sunny California. Carmel Valley’s limestone soils give the wine an intriguing and energetic lift. The Cabernet Franc and Malbec were harvested on the same day and co-fermented. The wine was raised in neutral barrel and bottled without filtration or the addition of sulfur.  There's a coniferous green note that hums along, just below the surface of the fruit aromatics, and the wine is generous and super drinkable with juicy flavors of black cherry and plum.
